My name is Zach McManus and I am a junior at The Ohio State University. I love military history and that's what I chose to do here at OSU. I began my quest towards military history back when I was in the 7th grade. I helped my grandfather get around while in hospice, and a lot of times needed something to do. Well the library was always an option, and I had always did well in history, so I checked out a few military history books from the library and began reading. Let's just say I was fascinated. Since then, I have read 100's of military history books and my knowledge is extensive. In my spare time you can catch me watching the military or military history channel! Ha gotta love it. But that's me and what I do here at Ohio State. I joined a fraternity because I liked being apart of something bigger than myself, where I could help people and they could help me. So I chose Pike and I've loved it ever since.
Now onto how I would change the world.... The one thing that I would love to do would be to open schools all around the world so that the next generation of people will be smart and ready for the future that awaits them. Now, there are a lot of schools out there that are sub par and do their best to educate young people, but ultimately they fail at giving young people the best education possible. I am going to make it to where every child has the opportunity to attend a good school and challenge themselves to do big things with their lives and change the world in a way that I myself couldn't. Young people are the future of our planet and if they are not educated, then the world as we know it is doomed, and humanity will be destroyed.
Education. It is as simple as that. Education is the key to our future, and without that key, the future will be locked away forever!
